It’s not all that frequently that we see video or picture of the legend Tony Hawk skating much else than a vert ramp, so when we do we get knocked off our rocker a bit.
The other day Tony Hawk shared quite elusive photo of himself doing a back lip down a stair set handrail from 1995, and it’s too good not to share in a blasted post, check it out below!
From Tony: “Tried one on a different rail – sans kicker – not long after this and clipped it in the worst way. That’s about the time I realized I should focus more on vert if I want to enjoy skating much longer, even though ramps were scarce and very few cared about us padded dinosaurs.”
