It’s not often that the trick and filming align this perfectly, but when they do, it’s pure magic. And that’s exactly what we see in this Carlos Ribeiro clip filmed by Bobby Bils.

Carlos is known for his technical skills and his ability to make the tough stuff look easy. This nollie half-Cab heel is super gnarly, but again, what really sets this clip apart is the way it’s filmed.

The second angle could be used as a trick tutorial or something. From the time he pops the trick, flips his board, locks in and casually nudges himself off the ledge, you get such a solid view of what’s going down. But really, how’s that pop-out? So good. As difficult as this trick is, it really starts making sense as he grinds from A to B.

Bobby is no stranger to filming the heavies and for good reason—he has an eye for it. It’s clear that a decent amount of thought went into the filming of this clip. It’s smooth. Precise. Seamless. And Carlos’ skating really compliments all of it. Both the trick and the filming are truly textbook. And the song…I see what they’re doing here. IYKYK!

In a world where skate clips are a dime a dozen, it’s always refreshing to see ones that truly stands out. This clip is a testament to the power of that notion. As much as we consume on a daily basis, it’s hard to argue the difficulty of standing out. But when the trick and the filming align this well, the result is pure magic. And magic these two made.
