Back-to-school means two things: it’s time to hit the books, and it’s almost time to wax your board. University ski and board club trips are just around the corner, and the folks over at Dakine wanted to make sure that riders from San Diego to Boston were equipped with the right gear.
The Dakine Days Campus Tour started in 2025. This year, it expanded across the country, from southern California to Texas to The midwest and northeast.

fUniversity of Colorado – Boulder, August 21, 2026
At the first Dakine Days event of fall 2026, Dakine popped up at the University of Colorado Boulder alongside Boulder Freeride, the largest student-led organization on CU’s campus. Coinciding the CU’s annual Welcome Week, the event was built around introducing new students to members of Boulder Freeride and their snowboarding crew for the next four years and beyond. Pizza, music, hackysack, tie-dye t-shirts, and giveaways accented the day as new and experienced riders from across the country expanded their community on campus.
University of Utah, September 1, 2026
Last week in Salt Lake City, Dakine Days arrived at the University of Utah’s campus during the school’s back-to-school Plaza Palooza. As freshman toured booths of Utah organizations, Dakine dug in with products and games front and center at the U CampusStore. Sam Taxwood, Dakine pro snowboard athlete and Salt Lake City native, was in the booth leading activities, giving out gear, and talking with students about his years of experience riding in the Wasatch Range. Dakine Days came through the University of Utah in 2026, so it was awesome to come back and continue to establish the brand on a campus that is full of students who live the snow sports and adventure lifestyle that Dakine is built around.

Although regions certainly foster communities based on the activities available in the area, Dakine knows that you can find pockets of enthusiastic snow athletes in every corner of the US. In that spirit, when Dakine kicked off the campus series in 2025 at the University of San Diego, Olympic Gold Medalist Red Gerard helped host the event and connected with the students that trade the beach for the mountains whenever they are able.
