The Snow League is back for another event. This time, the riders head to China to ride the halfpipe at Yunding Snow Park Chongli—the iconic venue of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. The contest goes down from December 4 through 6.
Yuto Totsuka and Sena Tomita enter the contest atop the leaderboard for the men’s and women’s standings, respectively.
As we’ve mentioned before, Snowboarder has teamed up with FLYP Fantasy to bring readers a fantasy league just for them.
FLYP Fantasy Manager is the first multi-discipline fantasy platform for skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, surfing, wakeboarding, and mountain biking. The concept was created by Philipp Kundratitz, a former pro rider for Nitro and the Austrian national team, and Yannic Sieben, the co-founder of Wyldata.
To participate, it’s simple. There are 14 events, starting with Big Air at China’s Secret Garden. That will kick off this week. Join the league, completely free of charge, and pick the five riders that you think will help you score the most points.
Each week, players are allotted a budget of 350 points that they use to add players to their lineup. Those projected to score well, like Taiga Hasegawa or Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, will cost more from your budget. Newcomers and athletes competing in events that aren’t their strong suit, like Chunyu Ge or Nicolas Huber, will cost less from your budget.

My Snow League Fantasy Picks
Ayumu Hirano: This needs very little explanation. The three-time Olympic medalist is a style god in the halfpipe. He fell to eventual champion Yuto Totsuka in the semi-final of the first Snow League contest in Aspen, but still managed to take home third place. I’m never counting Ayumu out.
Maddie Mastro: She’s one of the fiercest competitors I’ve ever witnessed. In an interview with me last year, Mastro said that she’s just having a ton of fun while riding. I believe her, but I also know that she has a killer instinct. Mastro finished in second place last contest, so be on the lookout for a revenge tour this week.
Joey Okesson: The East Coaster took to the airbag this summer, and the hard work paid off. Okesson just landed a triple cork 1440 in the halfpipe and was one of just two Americans to do so.
Gaon Choi: A third-place finisher in Aspen, Choi may be young, but she’s also fiery.
Ryan Wachendorfer: I could watch Wachendorfer take halfpipe hits all day long. Keep an eye out for his signature double McTwist.
