A snowboarder from Texas has died at Angel Fire Resort, New Mexico.
Koby Hunter, 21, of San Antonio, died around 11 a.m. on February 8, 2025, the resort’s marketing director Michael Hawkins said to the Taos News.
Hunter died on Hully Gully, a ski run on the backside of the New Mexico Mountain. Ski patrol responded to the call, along with the police department, fire department, and EMS.
“After the Resort’s ski patrol responded to the incident on the Resort’s Hully Gully ski run,” Hawkins said in a press release, “he was then transferred to an ambulance with Angel Fire Department and transported to the Colfax County Angel Fire Airport for life-flight to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. Unfortunately, the individual was pronounced deceased prior to transport.”
