The summer has been hot and heavy and absent of any and all snow. But no need to fret, the countdown to winter is officially on with Mammoth Mountain Resort being the first resort to announce their opening day. Despite the summer heat, monumental Mammoth Opening Day is only 100 days away.

Mammoth Mountain is located in California’s Sierra Nevada range and is considered a premium snowboarding destination. It has got a good reputation known for its expansive terrain and reliable snowfall. The resort boasts over 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, including 150 trails and 28 lifts, which makes it one of the largest in the U.S. With an average annual snowfall of 400 inches, Mammoth offers a long season often extending from November to July. This is generally one of the longest seasons in the country each and every year. Mammoth has varied terrain that caters to all skill levels, from beginner slopes to challenging chutes and definitely some world class terrain parks. The resort’s high elevation ensures consistent snow quality, further enhancing its reputation as a top snowboarding destination.

Mark your calendars for November 15 for opening day, and start dusting off the old shred sticks and outerwear. Make sure your boots do not have any spiders in them, and get ready to kick off the 24/25 winter season with Mammoth – probably one of the first resorts in the US to be open. Time will tell, but either way, opening day at Mammoth Mountain Resort is suuuuuure to be one you do not want to miss.
