Last year’s main event, a 24-Kilometer paddle race featured top names in the sport, and culminated in an epic battle between Titouan Puyo and rising star Keoni Sulpice. Japan’s Yuka Sato dominated and triumphed over the women’s division.
Much excitement for 2020 centers around the Festival’s change in venue to a new hosting village and including new race routes for all divisions. In addition, there is an eagerly awaited addition of the SUP Foiling category. This elite race will be in a downwind course, testing all riders in a dynamic new format. Here are the different races:
Elite Race: 18KM
SUP Foil Race: 16KM
Prone Race: 8KM
Lagoon Race: 8KM
Kids (Under 14) Race: 2KM
Gilette Fun Race in Relay Format (2 men/1 woman)
There is something for everyone in this epic, community day of paddle racing!
Zane Schweitzer is at the forefront of SUP Foil racing. We hope to see him at the start line for the Air France Paddle Festival in 2020!
