Some things just make sense. Emerica, Spanky and one of skateboarding‘s most respected artists, Mike Gigliotti recently joined forces to bring us all a fresh twist to the beloved Spanky Hi. These are rad!

This limited collab drops April 10th and is undeniably one of those shoes that looks as good as it skates. Truly the best of both worlds. Can’t go wrong with some bold, all-black kicks, especially when Mike is there to add some of his signature, yet subtle little illustrations to the mix. Get a closer look below:

“The resident Baker Skateboards artist brings the rawness of his work to create the Emerica Spanky Hi x Lottie,” Emerica mentioned in a press release. “The Spanky Hi—a staple in Emerica’s lineup—is known for its sleek silhouette, reinforced durability, and board feel. All essentials for Spanky’s skateboarding.”

Tacking on: “Now, with Gigliotti’s unmistakable hand-drawn aesthetic, this edition carries the Lottie vibe, bridging Mikes art and Spankys aesthetic.”

As you see below, the shoes include a custom embroidered tongue graphic, insole artwork by Gigliotti, and a colorway that bridges Spanky’s timeless style and Lottie’s no-nonsense grit. They certainly aren’t flashy, but that doesn’t mean every little detail still hits hard. I’m backing these one-hundred percent.

For those who don’t know, Gigliotti is known for many things, but currently as the resident artist for Baker Skateboards. He was also the creative mind behind Lottie’s Skateshop in L.A.—a shop we all still miss dearly. As real as it gets, his art and vision speak for themselves.

Again, the Spanky Hi x Lottie launches April 10, 2025, in limited quantities. You can find it at select skateshops worldwide and on the Emerica site. GTWYC!
