Pharmacy Boardshop recently hopped on Instagram announcing their first ever guerrilla style skateboarding contest. The concept itself is pretty simple, but what you actually have to do, well, isn’t. They’re offering $10,000 to the first person to either backside flip or 360 flip El Toro! Peep the video below for more info.

“We will give $10,000 to the first Person to ACTUALLY 360 Flip or Backside Flip El Toro,” Pharmacy wrote on Instagram. “Tag who would you like to see hucking their carcass down this legendary spot. Any pro, flow, or average Joe can participate. No time limits, no wavers, no sponsors? No problem. Just good old fashioned street skateboarding. Now is your chance to make history!”

So, obviously, my initial thought was this is pretty insane. But at the same time, I know for a fact there are more than a few hungry skateboarders out there who are bold enough to at least attempt this crazy challenge. Don’t you agree? And while I’m not necessarily claiming anyone will actually do it, I won’t argue that a handful will certainly try.

My second thought was—and you can see it in the video—that El Toro hasn’t really been skateable for a while now. What’s up with those big yellow gates on top of the set? Is the run-up is still okay? Are there cracks to worry about? Are the stairs different? Bigger? Smaller? Plenty of questions at hand here.

Nonetheless, I’m pretty stoked to see what comes of this. It’s quite a heavy claim and I can only hope Pharmacy will genuinely put their money where their mouth is if someone conquers this crazy feat. But only time will tell.

The contest is running from November 1st through December 31st, which gives anyone wild enough to attempt this challenge two months to get ‘er done! Hit the Pharmacy website for all the official rules and regulations. And if you’re one of the folks planning on attempting to conquer this beast—good luck!
