Fall’s knocking on the door and school’s back in session. Thankfully, the good people at Dakine are making the transition a little bit easier with their Dakine Days campaign. After launching at the University of San Diego last year, Dakine is returning to the Southern California campus on September 15, 2026.

This time around, the brand is teaming up with the University of San Diego Surf Club, turning its Dakine Days tent into a hub for students looking to get more involved in the sport, culture, and community of surfing. Last year, Dakine athlete and Olympic snowboarder Red Gerard also joined the event, helping connect with students and bring some action-sports energy to campus. This year, the brand is going bigger, with the USD Surf Club holding signups directly inside the Dakine Days tent. For Dakine, returning to the university is also an opportunity to reinforce its Southern California roots while introducing a new generation to the time-tested brand.

Every Dakine Days stop features an epic spot to hang for the afternoon, gear giveaways, games, a chance to meet other legendary people, plus, one winner will be drawn from the combined attendees across every 2026 Dakine Day’s stop and receive a 2027 spring break trip for two to Hawaii. There’s a grand prize of $2,000 in Dakine product on the table for those that sign up, which should be enough to outfit you for your next big adventure.

But wait, there’s more! Even if you’re not a student, you can get in on the action. Dakine and SURFER have teamed up to offer our readers the chance to win the grand prize of $2,000 worth of Dakine gear. All you have to do is enter to win here. One winner will be picked at random at the end of the contest period.
