The non-profit known as POW, or Protect Our Winters, has put out a stance on it. Read below.

“Hundreds of wildfires burning in Canada have brought the poorest air quality in the world to New York City and all over the East Coast.“We need to acknowledge that fire is an immediate realization of a warming climate with a global reach and yet to be understood consequences,” says POW Science Alliance Member, Dr. Neil Lareau.This is not only the climate crisis, but a human health crisis.“The smoke itself poses immediate respiratory risks and contributes to a host of other negative health impacts, including cardiovascular conditions.”This is no longer a future problem, but happening right now. “
