Vail Resorts Lays Out ’20/’21 Winter Operating Plan

Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz announced the company’s Winter 2020/2021 operating plan yesterday in a letter to guests that outlines new operating procedures for Vail Resort’s 34 North American resorts. Designed to create a safer on-mountain experience as the country continues to fight the spread of COVID-19, the operating plan includes changes to season pass use and ticket sales, information on the reservation system that will be used this year, mandates for face coverings, physical distancing guidelines for the mountain and lifts, changes to dining services and more.

Vail Resorts plans to kick off the season with the opening of Keystone November 6, weather permitting. Early season operation will be reserved for season pass holders only, with daily lift ticket sales beginning December 8.
