After today, we’ll have our first Olympic medalists in snowboarding for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games.
The Big Air Finals for the men go down today at 1:30 Eastern Time.
The easiest way to watch all the Olympic snowboarding you want is through NBC’s Peacock app. A premium with ads plan is $11 a month, and an ad-free premium plus account costs $17 a month. It will air live for traditional TV watchers on USA Network. A rebroadcast will be aired on NBC later.
Ollie Martin is the only member advancing to the finals day. The 17-year-old from Colorado fell on his first run, which resulted in a score of just 19.75. He needed to land his second run to have any chance at moving on. He stomped an 1800, earning a score of 82.25. It was enough to put him in ninth place and give him a chance at the podium on finals day.
American Jake Canter put down a backside 1980 to start things off for the entire contest during qualification. He stomped it and ended the first heat in third place. He got a 71.25 on his second run and did not improve upon that in his third.
Canter finished in 15th, and was followed by Red Gerard in 20th, and Sean FitzSimons in 25th. All three will get another chance at riding in Men’s Slopestyle, which goes down on February 16, 2026 at 6 a.m. Eastern.
