The X Games street course is unique this year, to say the least (there’s an actual jacuzzi out there) but this blue curved rail sticks out more than anything to me for some reason.

Maybe it’s all the clips I’ve been seeing from it while the best skaters in the world test the waters on the course? Maybe it just looks rad and all the tricks I’ve seen on it are super satisfying?

I’m not sure what it is, but I like it.

The X Games have been a household name for decades and they’ve really changed things up in the past few years. The course definitely looks cool this year and there’s a lot to offer all skaters, but there seems to be a real sense of fun and creativity peppered into it.

Some of the greatest skaters in the world will be battling it out on this course this weekend, as the MegaPark finals just wrapped up yesterday at Elliot Sloan’s compound in Southern California, where Edouard Damestoy defended his title and took home gold yet again.

I’m just stoked to see this curved rail get hit during the actual contest, and I’m curious which skaters will utilize it during their runs. It doesn’t look easy to skate, that’s for sure. But if what we’ve seen on it so far is any hint of foreshadowing, we should be in for some surprises.
